Exploring hot jobs is always a trending topic, and 2024 saw plenty of buzz around Machine Learning and AI engineering roles—for good reason. However, you might be surprised to see some of the roles that grew very quickly in Pave’s compensation dataset last year.
‍
Our Supply Chain job family actually has the highest concentration of employees hired in the last 12 months—37.2% to be exact. This is followed by our Community Operations job family, with 33.9% of employees hired in the last year. The Machine Learning job family comes in third.
‍
What other job families on the list surprise you?

Similarly, we looked at countries with the highest concentrations of employees hired in the past 12 months across Pave’s compensation dataset.
‍
In this case, we had to expand to a top-13 list to squeeze in the United States, as 12 countries saw a larger share of employees hired in the last year. At the top of the list is the Philippines, with Colombia and Mexico rounding out the top three.
* Methodology: Percent of employees in a country hired in the last 12 months. To be included, a country must have at least 100 companies reporting data in that location.
Clearly, it has been a huge year for compensation and for Pave, and we’re so grateful to our 8,500+ customers for helping to grow our dataset and uncover key trends.Â
