As compensation leaders kick off annual merit and compensation review cycles, timing matters. That's why we wrapped up Q4 2025 with releases explicitly designed for the work you're doing right now—making compensation cycles faster, smarter, and less stressful.

From AI-powered risk detection to real-time budget controls, here's everything we shipped to help you navigate your busiest season with confidence.

Compensation Planning: Built for Your Annual Cycles

Since you're likely in the midst of your annual performance and merit cycle, we want to highlight several new features that will seamlessly integrate into your current workflows, saving you hours and reducing manual effort.

Custom Analytics & Enhanced Dashboards

Your compensation programs are unique, and your insights should be too. Our new fully configurable bar chart in Cycle Insights lets you unlock customized analysis for any program in your cycle, across any population. Plus, you can now filter any chart by specific planners to understand planner-specific activity and outcomes—helping you identify which businesses need additional reminders or support.

Custom Formula Builder

Our new formula builder with live previewing lets you configure those calculations yourself, with results appearing immediately. No more waiting for engineering or people analytics support to populate key calculations in your view.

Default  Views

Focus your team’s attention on the most critical information for this compensation cycle by assigning a filtered view. You can now create a default filtered view that surfaces the most crucial information as your people leaders begin planning, reducing confusion and improving consistency across your organization.

Compensation Risk Smart Flags (Beta)

Stop hunting for problems across thousands of employees. Pave’s new Compensation Risk Smart Flags will begin proactively surfacing compensation outliers, manager compression issues, and recent or upcoming vesting drops in real time and throughout your cycle. Instead of spending hours manually identifying risks, you can focus on actually addressing them.

Budget Limits (Beta)

For organizations with hundreds of planners across regions and business units, manual budget auditing is a nightmare. Pave Compensation Planning’s new budget limits feature lets you set hard spending caps on any budget with role-based overrides and automatic submission blocking if planners exceed limits. Planners get real-time feedback to self-correct, and you can trust that no worksheet will blow your budget.

AI-Generated Employee Summaries (Beta)

When you're reviewing hundreds or thousands of comp decisions, scanning through dozens of data columns per employee is unsustainable. Our new LLM-generated summaries provide a clean snapshot of each employee throughout the compensation cycle, including key planner comments and insights. Make informed decisions quickly without missing critical context.

Market Pricing: Making Job Architecture Management Self-Service

Redesigned Job, Grade, & Association Management

We completely overhauled the upload/download experience with clear step-by-step instructions, template downloads, and improved error messaging. This streamlined self-service workflow helps you develop and maintain your organization’s job architecture more efficiently.

Job Architecture Audit Logs

When job titles change or pay zones shift, you need to understand what happened and when it happened. Our new audit logs give you complete audit trails for any changes to your jobs and pay zones, visible both at a high level and for specific jobs or zones—no more digging through emails and Slack or relying on institutional knowledge.

Global Column Ordering in Band Sets

Scale more easily with the ability to set standardized column orders for your entire organization. When saving column customizations, you can choose to save the column order as "Just for me", or select "For everyone" to set defaults for all users—ensuring consistency across teams. This ensures that all users are looking at the same view, reducing confusion and streamlining pricing conversations.

Real-Time Background Job Status Visibility

No more wondering if your export finished or refreshing endlessly to check if your bulk update went through. Our new Processing Queue tab in the notification drawer shows live status updates for all your background jobs—CSV exports, bulk operations, and data imports. You'll see exactly what's happening with your data in real-time, reducing friction during time-sensitive compensation cycles.

Visual Offer Letter: Cleaner Offer Data

Duplicate Offer Detection

Cleaner data means more accurate headcount planning and fewer reconciliation headaches between your offer letter system and ATS. Visual Offer Letter now automatically marks manual offers as inactive when your ATS integration shows an offer to the same email address—keeping your pipeline data accurate without manual cleanup.

Market Data: Fresh Benchmarks When You Need Them

Pave's real-time dataset continues to grow, fueling even more impactful updates to our platform. We’ve introduced new Locations and Job Families, a refreshed view into Annual Bonus Data, and greater flexibility in Equity Settings. These enhancements empower you to benchmark with greater precision and adapt more easily to your unique compensation strategies.

New Locations & Job Families

In Q4, we added new locations, including Oklahoma City and Colorado Springs. On the global front, you can now benchmark variable pay and total cash data for India. New job families added include: Business Unit Head, Pre-Clinical R&D, Backend Engineer, and IT Helpdesk.

Annual Bonus Percent

Market Data now includes a new pay type: Annual Bonus Percent, which represents the target annual bonus opportunity expressed as a percentage of base pay. This pay type enables you to benchmark bonus programs in a standard format used for program design and target setting. View Annual Bonus Percent by level for non-commissioned families to understand market bonus practices and set competitive bonus targets for your programs.

Revamped Equity Settings

Managing equity programs is complex, and the details matter. Our revamped equity settings now enable users to configure equity settings ("view as...", "timeframe", and "grant value") on a per-pay-type basis rather than globally, giving you greater flexibility and granularity to meet your organization's needs.

Platform: Enterprise-Grade Permission Management

The foundation of a scalable compensation platform is robust access control. These updates give you complete control over who sees what in your organization.

Enhanced Permission Management Capabilities

In Q4, Pave enhanced your ability to manage user permissions with new self-service administrator features, making it easier for your team to get started and stay in control.

  • Streamlined bulk user management: Assign or remove users at scale with our new bulk actions functionality, which eliminates the need for repetitive individual updates and significantly reduces administrative overhead.
  • Self-service role management: Take complete control of your organization's access structure with self-service role creation and deletion. Teams can now independently create custom roles tailored to their specific organizational needs, modify existing permissions, and remove obsolete roles—all without requiring assistance from your account team.
